Marion Technical College has teamed up with The CE Shop to provide our students with the courses required for obtaining and retaining their Mortgage Pre-Licensing Education. Together we are able to offer state-specific courses and engaging electives that follow current trends and issues in the industry.

20 + 4 Hour SAFE Comprehensive: MLO Pre-Licensure Course Packages

The first step to MLO licensure is creating an NMLS account to get an account ID. Once you’ve done this, you’re ready to take your 24 hours of Pre-Licensure education. This education will prepare you for the next step towards getting your license, which is taking the SAFE MLO Test.

Our Pre-Licensure Education packages fulfill the SAFE Act requirement and provide a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practices of mortgage lending. In addition to the required core topics, the PE course will focus on content areas appearing on the SAFE MLO Test.

National Mortgage Continuing Education

All of our Mortgage CE & Late CE courses are Online Self-Study or OSS, and NMLS-approved, giving you the ability to complete your Continuing Education requirements at any time and from anywhere. Continuing Education consists of the courses required for retaining your mortgage license. We offer innovative and engaging national courses to keep you at the top of your game.

National NMLS Approved Course

The Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) has the same basic requirements to become a Mortgage Loan Originator in all 50 states and U.S. territories. This entails a 20-hour NMLS-approved Mortgage Loan Originator pre-licensing (PE) course. Some states have additional educational requirements, but most of the education is finished when the 20-Hour Mortgage Loan Originator course is complete. State-Specific NMLS Approved PE Courses

In addition to the 20-Hour National Pre-Licensing (PE) education requirement, there are some states that require additional coursework to become licensed.
