College Graduate Competencies

The Faculty Assessment Committee has identified six areas of College Graduate Competencies CGCs. These CGCs are communicated to students by a statement that is common to every course syllabus: MTC believes that every graduate should possess a common set of skills regardless of the student’s major.

These skills are collectively called the College Graduate Competencies, or CGCs. The faculty has defined specific CGCs in six areas:
