On December 18, 1970, a charter signed by the Board of Regents, created the Marion County Technical Institute, which is known today as Marion Technical College.  The College is marking its 50^th anniversary with the publication of Marion Technical College:  The First Fifty Years 1970 – 2020 written by Teresa L.
